Soihtu Stay follows the following terms and conditions considering bookings, payments and cancellations. The terms and conditions are binding for both parties, Soihtu Stay and the customer, once the customer has confirmed the payment.
Booking and payment
The booking is binding once the payment has been completed. The accommodation will be charged during the booking process from your credit card or banking account. You can generally use most usual bank cards and online banking accounts for the payment. Soihtu Stay is not obligated to accept foreign currencies, coupons or checks. During the booking process, the customer has to give a name, address, arrival and departure time for accommodation and phone number. Soihtu Stay is not obligated to accommodate a customer with a special summer school price after the reserving time has been expired.
Cancellation
The customer can cancel the booking without a fee 14 days before arrival at the latest. If the cancellation will be done later than 14 days before arrival, Soihtu Stay is justified to charge 50% of the original price. If the cancellation will be done two or less days before the arrival, Soihtu Stay is justified to charge the full original price. If the customer changes the arrival and departure dates, it will be considered a cancellation and a new booking.
If the Summer School is canceled by the organizers, the reservation payment is returned in full.
Soihtu Stay’s right to cancel the booking
If a force majeure situation occurs, Soihtu Stay has to inform the customer as soon as possible about the cancellation. In case of cancellation, the customer has the right to get compensation for the booking fees. Soihtu Stay has the right to cancel the booking if the customer has not obeyed the payment terms and conditions.
Keys, passenger card and cleaning
Customers can get the keys from 15:00 (3pm) on the arrival day. The Smartbox key point is located in the lobby of the Rentukka building at Taitoniekantie 9. Soihtu Stay sends the customer their personal Smartbox code via text message before arrival. When departing, the customer must leave the keys and a filled and signed passenger card in the locked key return box which is located next to the Retukka main door.
The customer is able to enter the booked apartment from 15:00 (3pm) onwards on the arrival day. The check-out has to be done by 11:00 (11am) on the departure day if not agreed otherwise. The customer receives the apartment cleaned. If key or keys are lost or they are not returned, Soihtu Stay charges 150 euros due to the work and expenses caused by acquiring new locks.
Customers have to take their trashes out when leaving and take care of their dishes before leaving the apartment. If there are dirty dishes found in the apartment after leaving, the Soihtu Stay charges 50 euros for the unwashed dishes and rubbish left behind.
Services included in the booking
The booking includes bed linens and towels for the booked number of people together with water, electricity, heating, departure cleaning, wifi,, kitchen equipment and cutlery, gym, sauna and laundry Bubble during their opening times.
Damages and compensation of lost items
The customer is responsible for the equipment of the booked apartment. The customer is obligated to compensate for any and all of the damages caused to the apartment and equipment. Likewise the customer is obligated to compensate for any lost equipment from the apartment.
Capacity
It is forbidden to accommodate more people than stated during the booking.
Shortcomings and complaints
Any shortcomings and complaints regarding the apartment, room or their condition must be informed directly to Soihtu Stay personnel tel. 050 348 0492 or via email stay@soihtu.fi or in writing sent to the address Soihtu / Soihtu Stay, Vehkakuja 2 B, 40700 Jyväskylä.
Smoking and pets
Smoking is forbidden in every apartment and room and in the balconies of R and S buildings. Unauthorized smoking indoors justifies Soihtu Stay to charge 500 euros for ozonation and ventilation. It is forbidden to have pets in the apartments.
